To all the survivors of ritual abuse and mind control who have been told and shown through horrible tactics that you don't exist, that you aren't real: I am here to tell you that you do exist, and so do I. We all exist, and we are here together.
Help exists. You exist. Here is a list of things that are true that exist about you:
Kindness.
Saying no.
Friendship.
Connection.
Experiencing joy.
Experiencing hope.
Asserting ourselves.
Getting our needs met.
Expressing our feelings.
Experiencing excitement.
Advocating for ourselves.
We don't have to please others.
Having our own emotions.
Experiencing childlike play.
Experiencing being human.
Listening to the music we like.
Having agency and autonomy.
Setting boundaries with others.
Experiencing being in our body.
Saying yes only to what we want.
Making our own decisions and choices.
Sharing our likes and dislikes with others.
Exercising our own mind, thoughts, and free will.
Giving ourselves the right to breathe and be alive.
Believing and having our own faith, using our own heart and soul.
Our needs exist – the need to be seen, heard, validated, attuned, to have a sense of belonging and inclusion.
Wow, we exist!
And we can add to this list as we reclaim our lives, our minds, our souls, our emotions, our bodies, and our choices – which all exist within us. We can do this without getting anyone else's permission.
We exist. I exist, and so do you. We all exist.
Keep affirming your existence, your experiences, your rights, and your journey of healing and reclaiming your life. You are real. Your experiences are valid. And you have the right to exist fully and authentically. Keep shining your light. The world needs you, just as you are.
